I have a fascination for blackboards. They are so versatile. Especially at weddings where you would need a menu or a seating chart. Not to mention directional signs. Easy to diy and being inexpensive is a plus. I’d love to see what you’ve done with your blackboards!

I love the use of chalkboards at special events — its really adds a nice personal touch to the event.

Does anybody know where you can buy plain blackboard from?

I am making my own blackboards. I am using old picture frames, and making my own. Using old wood, or get wood from home depot or lowes. (moudling used for trim work around the house is cheap and can have different designs. You can paint it you self, they have spray paint that looks like wood and metal and looks really good.) Then a piece of plywood or OSB board, paint with chalk board paint, and done! Pretty easy, you can google diy versions of it and people have step by step instructions
