Choosing a Wedding Photographer

What are the most important things to look for when choosing a wedding photographer? You should have a look at complete weddings and make sure that you see all the shots, from the bride getting dressed, to the dance floor antics and everything in between. He should have captured off guarded moments as well as detail shots that you have worked so hard on to make your wedding special and memorable.

He should have the necessary experience to handle all types of wedding stress and the ability to be at 10 different places at the same time. There are so many things going on at a wedding and your photographer should be able to pull everything together.

Make sure you feel at ease and comfortable with your chosen photographer. Ask to speak to recent brides and speak to them. There’s no better recommendation than that. Your wedding is a once in a lifetime event. Take your time and you will know when the perfect photographer comes along.
Essential details are what you will want to see in the photos long after the wedding. Make sure your photographer knows what you want and to give you some ideas of ‘must take pics’ there is an article at WeddingsAbout.com. This is a must read.

I wanted to add to your post…There are so many “wedding Photographers” out there now with the new age of digital. Be sure to choose someone that has a full time business and not just shooting on the side. I know this seems silly but ask for a copy of their business license. If you meet them at Starbucks for your consultation, you may not want to book them for your wedding. You only have one chance to get great images! Be sure to choose a “real” professional!
