Quirky Parties is a new Cape Town company specializing in vintage wedding decor hire – whimsical and vintage wedding and party decor with a difference.

At Quirky Parties you will find lawn games such as croquet, boule, vintage suitcases and even an old gramophone if that takes your fancy. Their selection of vintage decor items are updated regularly. They also custom make any wood items such as blackboards, wooden words, hearts  and place names. Old doors and windows make lovely place seating charts for your wedding. If you look at fleamarkets you can find shutter doors for next to nothing. Depending on your style of wedding you can paint them or leave them rustic looking.

Birdcages are one of my favourite decor items not only for home but for weddings as well. You could decorate with candles, flowers, white flickering lights, vintage books, or any pretty little items you might find at markets. If you could manage to find a different birdcage for each table it would give your wedding a totally unique and different look. Another idea is too use the birdcage as your card holder. Look at garden centres and markets and who knows, you might be lucky. I know I would love to have one.
